[He smiles soon after and Macaque should know by now that his tail is wagging under his Mask.

He's standing next to a little table that he's covered and secured with a heet to hide the vaguely house-shaped thing on it.]

[ That's just the way he likes you, Esme. Blushing because of something he himself said. ]

Do I get to know what it is? Since I'm transporting it and all. [ He can't deny that he's super curious so why should he hide it? ]

[Just keep doing you Macaque. You're basically guaranteed a blush per meeting.

The request actually gets a soft laugh.]

You're the boss. [ He creates a shadow portal beneath them and down they and the sheet-covered-thing go, like an elevator. They rise up out of the floor in the bedroom that Esme indicated. ]

...still not fully used to that.

[He's most used to the door method, and elevator experience is still lacking in general. But it's only a moment before he moves to carefully remove the sheet, revealing a wooden model of the house he and Max lived in. It's got a little clasp on one side and hinges on the opposite.]

It's our first memories together. Well most of the good ones anyway.

Macaque looks over the house. "It's a great gift. He'll love it."

I didn't get nothing. I got to see you, which is all the reward I need.

[ Let's see that blush! ]

If you want to eat something together though, that's fine.

[But it still works. He blushes even while trying to save face a little by pointing out the obvious.]

It goes both ways though. I got to see you too, and you helped me. So, what would you like to eat?

That doesn't mean it isn't truthful.

Hm. Have you ever tried strawberry mango salsa? It works great as a snack with chips, and our greenhouse has everything needed for it. Except the chips.

...you're too good at flattery.

I haven't tried it yet...do you want me to get chips while you get the rest? I can go to the store.

We can do that, sure. It'll just take a few portals to grab all the salsa ingredients. And we can grab the chips in the same way if you want. Since we pay using our phones anyway, what's the difference?

[ Using that many portals is going to hurt him a hell of a lot thanks to the soul damage he's got going on, but he's always careful not to show it. ]
