"Maybe with myself, just a little. Nothing big."

"That's okay. We all get frustrated with ourselves. I know I do with myself. Heh. I know this wasn't easy and I am proud of you for opening up to me about it. And thankful. I love you, my Liu'er.

"Does that mean that I earned a kiss or twelve?"

"Definitely twelve. At least," Lucifer says and kisses his love on the lips to start. A soft loving kiss.

"Good." Macaque smiles and waits for those perfect lips to land on his. He puts Wukong out of his mind and just enjoys kissing the man he loves.

Lucifer enjoys their kiss. Then breaks the kiss to smooch that nose. Then one kiss for each ear. Then another on the lips. One on the neck. Another another on the lips. Then a deep hot kiss with tongue for twelve.

Hmm, well. No complaints here.

Macaque takes his time with that final kiss. "Mm. I should spill my guts to you more often."

"I would gladly hear you spill your guts to me anytime, my love. And deliver upon you even more kisses," Lucifer smiles and smooches each cheek. Then his nose again. Then pushes Macaque down onto the bed and moves over him, kissing him softly on the side of his mouth.

"And I will gladly spill mine to you."

He's definitely had worse experiences after a gabfest.

"Really. You mean right now? Because it looked like you might have something else in mind."

"Juuuust a small tiny question. About...proposing. When I do um...would you want it to be private or a big public affair? That's uh one of the early things I'm trying to figure out and a good friend told me to just ask so. I'm asking."

Adorable.

"Private. Just the two of us. And then we can tell our kids and loved ones later."

"I'd prefer a smaller deal for a wedding too, but I can be more flexible on that."

"I can do a private proposal. We will have to talk about wedding size. We both know a lot of people combined. And we should go over a guest list after we're engaged and have told the kids and our loved ones, yes. Might be a big ceremony and reception but with tasteful distance available for everyone."

Macaque successfully does not get palpitations at the thought of a large wedding.

Maybe there's something he can do about that... "We should have it at my theater. Write ourselves a musical wedding." If he felt like he was performing it would be a lot easier.

Lucifer lights up and smiles wide.

"That is a terrific idea! A full musical wedding! A true performance! We can write the songs together and everything! Uh...we're getting ahead of ourselves but I don't care. It's brilliant!"

"That smile is so worth any price of admission. But in this case I think it'll also help my nerves at being observed by so many people."

"And it'll be fun to write. Lots of ducks."

"And this time, the people here will have actually good taste in musical theatre! HA!"

"Yep. And once we're married we can do joint shows at the theater. All your stories will be told. We can even have Ducky Day once every so often."

"How are you the perfect trashy man, my love?"

"I aim to please. Sometimes I succeed."

"I'd say you always succeed with me."

"That's because you love me and are therefore hopelessly biased."

"And I wouldn't change that for the world."
