[ … Lucifer really is making a duck. For him. That's — ]
[ It's enough to leave Yuzuki speechless. Shy in a way that he ... isn't. Shouldn't be, can't be, because he exists for a purpose. Yuzuki's shadow tries to say what he himself can't, by bonking its forehead against Lucifer's shadow's shoulder. It's an echo of one of Choco's habits, partially rerouted avian instinct and partially learned from Donnie. A sign of affection; of trust, and family. ]
[ Yuzuki (... somewhat belatedly) nods. He's more than ready to get out of here. ]
Lucifer doesn't say anything. He nods that he is ready. With the shadow forehead bump against his shoulder, the King of Hell smiles. He watches his own shadow as he reaches up to try and gently pat the shadow on the head with his own shadow. It's a little clumsy but he manages to get it to work.]
Macaque smiles to himself as he feels the two shadows interacting. Good. Lucifer is going to be Yuzuki's family, and in a way he already is, so it's nice to see them this way.
Macaque portals all of them into his nest. It doesn't even feel like they moved, that's how gentle the transition is.
He fluffs out the shadow blanket and draws down Yuzuki's shirt, handing over the weighted hoodie.
"Settle how you want to and we'll move to either side of you. All the pressure you could want."
[ Yuzuki's wings (which are kind of a mess after everything that happened, he'll have to fix them … ugh, later) puff up adorably when Lucifer pats his shadow's head. Goddamn Choco's propensity for blushing at the drop of a hat; his cheeks are on fire. ]
[ After what may have been the gentlest portal this world has ever seen, they're in Macaque's nest. Yuzuki makes a quiet sound of gratitude. ]
Hang on, I need to … [ Stick his head through a portal of his own making so he can clean himself up using one of Macaque's sinks. Could he have portalled over there properly, or used his legs? Yes. Did he want to? Haha. Ha. Ha. No. ]
[ Once he's satisfied that all the blood and gunk is gone, he accepts the hoodie, wiggles into it, and finally proceeds to faceplant into the nest with a quiet groan. ]
[ ... He pauses. Lets out a little, ah like he just remembered something. And then a pile of knives appears on the floor just outside the nest. ]
Lucifer admires the control needed to move them so easily. He chuckles and settles into the nest once Yuzuki is down and the knives put outside the nest. He lays on the left of the shadow pigeon so Macaque can be on the right.
"So. The knives, if I am right, are a clear Wash influence. Am I right?"
[ Yuzuki embarks on some Subtle and Stately (decidedly cat-like) shuffle-wiggles to get as comfy as he possibly can. ]
Hah. Yeah. [ Huffs a laugh. ... After a short pause, he decides against mentioning that time or two Wash very nearly stabbed her. ] They ended up sharing a room back in Kyriakos. By choice, to help with the nightmares. [ Another pause. Choco won't be able to tell them what tonight was all about ... maybe it'd help if he tried to? ] And he was her first teacher. They both picked up a lot of habits from each other.
And ... well. Choco's got a hell of a lot of power at her disposal these days. [ He wiggles his fingers like, hi, yes, it's me, I am part of that power, hello ] But she feels safer when she's got options. Knives, punching, yelling for her dads.
[ plural very intended. ]
[ And then, after another pause to consider Macaque's offer, he nods cautiously. ]
You can try, I just might need to tell you to stop. That nightmare takes every sensory issue we have and magnifies it by ... [ ... ] a lot.
Lucifer just melts hearing the dads plural. And it doesn't feel accidental or a slip up. He lays on the other side of Yuzuki and is careful to not touch too much. He remembers where was very sensitive on his temporary pigeon body and makes sure to avoid any of those spaces. Still he smiles and holds out his hands for Yuzuki's, if he wants them held.
"Let us know whatever you need. More quiet, more noise, less touches, and the like. Or if you need to feel a texture. Fluffy, soft, rough, warm, slimy. I can turn into pretty much any animal so if petting a dog or a cat would help right now, let me know. Or feathers. Like an owl. Okay?"

Won't need those with you two here ...

Re: tw: body horror bee nightmare
"Undoubtedly. Staying over with Wash is a lesson in not impaling yourself."
"Let me know if you want me to preen your wings. I'm pretty good at it."
