"I swear I'm not trying to be difficult. Nothing would make me happier than if Cole and I got right again. I just think maybe I missed my window."

"Yeah." He holds MK and tries not to think about how he's letting MK down via this thing with Cole. MK, who always manages to make a friend, even if that person tried to kill him.

MK, who always tries so hard and works to find a bright side. He must be so disappointed in Macaque right now...

After a while, Macaque lets out a slow breath. "Okay. I'll try talking to him."

MK isn't disappointed in Macaque. He's sad and disappointed in just the way things are right now. The time they all watched movies together feels so far away now. He looks up when Macaque speaks and nods.

"I really hope it goes well. And when you're ready, okay? You don't have to rush. Same with Cole."
