They're beautiful. She doesn't say it out loud, but a certain amount shows in her expression anyway.
Best that she doesn't mention it. Compliments about his ears send him in a million directions, none of which are conducive to the important task of railing her.
That's not to say that he doesn't react to the touching. Two things happen: his ears twitch forward not unlike wolf's ears when its interest is piqued, and he lets out a quiet sound, not quite a moan but in that realm. He did say they were sensitive.
Evangeline doesn't say anything. But she does smile a little at hearing that sound from him, and leans in to gently touch her lips to the tip of one ear.
