The shadow holds out a hand and there's a mango with a heart in the middle, then it does an LMK 2D fliperoo and becomes a plum also with a heart in the middle.

The fruit through the helmet antics get a laugh.

Ah, for them both. Good taste. Plums are pretty good too.

Strawberries are still best though.

[He snorts.] People have such weird reactions to me just eating. [Please understand this man is a weirdo, he doesn't get it.]

Strawberries also get a thumbs up.

The shadow creates a helmet out of more shadow, puts it on, and then proceeds to mime eating food even though his mouth is behind a helmet. The shadow takes the helmet off, knocks on it as if looking for trick doors, then looks impressed.

You spend enough time on desert planets, and you lean how to eat without taking off your helmet. Otherwise its sand in your teeth.

The shadow makes a grossed out face.

And that's why I developed these skills.

Plus the helmets have great disposals units.

The shadow considers this, pauses, and makes a waving motion with his hand and produces a shadow-post-it, which he reaches up and gives to Wash, and it becomes an actual post-it when it changes hands. Heart logic.

This is in no way a complaint, I just think its funny.

A grin. You thinking it's funny is indeed the point. Sure it's a horrible traumatic experience and he's flaying himself open here, no reason they can't make it fun.

Honestly, yeah. I can't tell you how much humor helps in the worst of times.

The shadow cocks his head, aren't life and death battles supposed to be more stressful?

Oh there is always stress, but I still manage to be quippy with them that I didn't always get all the other times before them.

The shadow rests his chin on his hand, imitating listening intently. He'd like to hear more of your bonkers stories about those guys.
