"Its just. Just a cut," Red Son said, eyes trailing to the staff for a moment before he jerks his head away.

Its gone. This is a scene that no longer exists. He moved it.

"Hey. It's alright," MK said, still not moving. He heard Wash say they had to catch the traps. Oh that wasn't going to be easy. But they could do it.

"We'll get the staff and get out of here. We just need to be careful. Right? We catch the things, we get the staff, get back in the elevator. Could you use your wind to try and slow them down?"

He's trying real hard to not look at the scene. It hurts. He used to look at it regularly for centuries, sometimes everyday for months at a time, but it was supposed to be done. It was supposed to be gone.

Why does it hurt so much to look at now?

Was it because he thought he finally escaped it? Was that it, and that's why it hurt?

"What?" He said, looking at MK. "Oh. Um. Maybe. A tornado would probably interrupt its trajectory."

"Then let's focus on that! We need to fix the holes too. But we can't move much. Donnie flew over and looked fine. So we just need to catch the things if we move. You can use your tornado to let us grab them. And we get the staff. Then we just gotta fix the holes. Any ideas on that?" He asked. Maybe if he could give Red Son something else to focus on, it would help. Keep him grounded and focused.

"Right. Tornadoes to catch the shard. I can do that," he said. Rubbing at his forehead. "The hole..." He looks to the side. "It might be...like the voids up top?"

MK nodded and looked at the hole.

"If it is, we need to pick a memory to fill it. We can talk about that in the elevator! Oh! Donnie can just float. Cool. Then this shouldn't be too hard. He'll carry someone over, we get the staff, then we just plug the hole and go. We can do this! Think of the memories you got! Any that would work for this?"

"I...I guess sprocket? Maybe?" He said, hands rubbing at his arms. "Its. Building things."

"Sounds like a good pick to me! I don't have anything for building stuff. Ask Monkey King! He might have one too. Brain storm." He gave a thumbs up to Red Son.

"...MK, there is no way I can be sure I won't do something hurtful if I talk to Monkey King right now," he said, voice low.

"Focus on Macaque. We need to fix this. Your memory it is. Just wait for me to get back with the staff. And I'll float you over with a rock. Okay?"

"I'm trying. Its." He gestures behind him, at the scene. "Macaque first. Macaque first. I just need. Need to be careful," he said, rubbing at his face.

"And remember the good. You moved it. You let him out. You met me," MK tried to help. He gently reached out and put a hand on Red Son's shoulder.

"This was bad. But it got better. You made it better."

Red Son nodded, hesitating a moment before a hand moves up to cover MK's. "I know. I know. I don't....I don't even know why this is hitting so hard," he said with a weak voice. "I used to see this sight all the time..."

"We can bulldozer over that after. It's a lot. This is a lot. And you're doing good. You're doing really good. Even knowing it's hard and saying it is good. I'm proud of you." MK smiled softly.

"We're all there and we'll get out of here soon. Promise."

He nods. "Bulldozer after. Just. Keep it together until we can leave," he said, squeezing MK's hand. "Try to not make it worse for Wukong."

Because he knows this is going to be HARD for Wukong.
