The dragon manages to look surprised despite having only one eye open.

You wish for me to join you out there? I do not believe it would harm us...

I'd like it a lot if you can! If you want to. You're a precious part of one of my precious people ... and I don't wanna leave you behind in here by yourself. It feels lonely.

I believe I can. But I will require your help to make myself smaller. I am much fatigued. Strong potion is strong.

[ STRONG POTION IS STRONG. ]

[ hmmmmMM. Taps her chin, thinking, thinking. ]

I don't have a spell to shrink people ... [ That was more AlcheMe's thing. ] But I could temporarily turn you into a lizard or a snake or something? Or - could I do what Red Son and I kinda did in my heart, where I lent him some of my strength and he lent me some of his? It'd only be a drop in the bucket for you though.

the dragon chuckles. I do not require more power than my own. I will need some assistance from you, however. Come and pluck out one of the hairs from my mane, and then make the wish you desire.

[ normally she'd ask if it's really okay, plucking hairs HURTS, but also

he's a big strong badass dragon ]

So, just to check - do I just need to wish for the part where you can become travel-sized, or do I need to include you being able to come with us, too?

[ quickly pulls 1 (one) hair from his mane ]

Altering my size is all that is needed. Once that is done, I may go where I wish.

Then ...

[ She closes her eyes, and focuses on the wish - ]

I wish for you to be able to alter your size.

[ Ah, maybe she should have embellished it a bit ... hopefully it's enough for what he needs. ]

There is a poof of inky purple smoke which coalesces over the dragon, and then it shrinks down to the size of a small iguana.

I will require your aid to move, however. Your potion was most exhausting.

[ Ahahaha, ]

It's basically a "play dead" potion, so ... I'm not surprised!

[ She very, very gently, lovingly scoops him up. ]

He is gently, lovingly scooped. He barely moves, so he'll be easy to pocket.

I'm gonna put you in one of my pockets, 'kay? Just lemme know if it's not comfy for you.

[ She pads one out with (clean) homemade handkerchiefs, and then, unless he protests, carefully slips him inside ]

He does not protest, in fact he seems close to falling asleep again.

[ an itsy bitsy gentle headpat with one finger for the itsy bitsy sleepy dragon ]

[ MISSION ACCOMPLISHED ]
