When you step out of the elevator, a sharp thing flies out of one end of the space and zips across the area directly in front of you. Thanks to your being able to hear it coming, you manage to barely move out of the way, but you can feel the thing nearly graze you.

You can see that the object has a little glitter inside it as it zooms by, probably due to being so close to it.

The shard vanishes in the "floor" of the area, tearing another void into it as it vanishes into a deeper part of Macaque's soul.

The hole looks much the same as the ones by the elevator, if a bit less regular around the edges. A memory will probably fill it up, presuming the lobby thing was a tutorial about how to deal with these
