You touch the dead plant, and pieces of it flake and crumble.

You feel yourself getting lost in someone else. That pull of the one you love which inspires you, but also tempts you to bury parts of yourself you think they would have distaste or disgust for. You wonder if this makes you a liar, or devoted, or a combination.

They're worth it, of course they are, but you find yourself burying more and inspired less as time goes on.

Is wanting to be better for someone else supposed to make you feel this neglected? This afraid? This lonely?
