Level U

As before, when the elevator doors open there are four paths before you in each of the cardinal directions (North, West, South, East), four... to call them doors would be misleading. There are spaces for doors, there are dangling wooden fragments where doors once were, little rusted brass screws from the knobs sitting in the doorways. The interiors are totally dark so you can’t see what’s in there until you enter regardless.

The hallway itself is halfway encased in ice, which concentrates mostly around the West “door”. The blue cracks also veer off in that direction, as if something is calling them or guiding them in that direction, although there are also cracks near the other “doors”, not just as many.

MK's eyes are instantly drawn to the West door. Oh that has got to be where she is. The ice, the cracks, and just that energy coming off that. So far, it has been Wukong and Wash taking care of West. Probably should stay that way. The ice being here means she'll probably have influence no matter where they go. He looked to Red Son.

"...South again?"

Red Son is holding onto MK's arm, glaring down at the ice. "....south again," he said, and summons up a small circle of fire around them for them to walk with.

The ice doesn't move, but you feel it beckoning. It's hard to resist. You want to go in there.

You can feel her amusement. But Red Son also feels something else that calls to him.

MK pressed close to Red Son, arm linked in arm. He frowned at the ice as they headed south.

"...No matter what she says, it isn't true. It isn't really her," Was he saying this for Red Son or himself?

"If it was the real her, she wouldn't risk calling out to me," Red Son said. "It's Macaque's trauma of her, the fear of her getting to us, but the real one would not call to me in this state. It'd be stupid."

He can ignore her call, but there is another? He looks around to try and identify it.

Level U - East Door

You find yourself in an empty corridor. It’s lit with harsh, almost painful lights that look as though you’re looking directly at the sun, interspersed with areas where there’s barely any light at all and arches of shadows overlap to make a darker space. There are plenty of offshoots within the corridor, little hallways and alcoves that branch off from the main maze, though there are no doorways or other separations. No windows seemingly, bland generic carpets and wall colors.

Surely nothing bad can happen in a space like this one! It’s not straight out of a horror movie or anything!

You don’t see a void offhand, but there must be some reason this room exists...

The harsh light forced MK to look down at the floor. Oh that as freaking BRIGHT! He groaned and shielded his eyes. So bright lights, weird shadows further on, and everything look blank and generic.

"Mei showed me old horror videos once. Like suuuuuper old. Guess Macaque was into them. They were horror themed. Something about rooms in the back, I think."

Red Son digs into his bag and pulls out a pair of spare sunglasses for MK. "The prescription is mild enough, it'll be better than being blinded by the light," he said, holding out the spare.

He looks around the corridor. "I think I saw a stream of something about haunted animatronics that she did," he said. He holds out his hand, lighting a fire in his hand to see just how stubborn those shadows are.

The shadows are extremely stubborn on one hand, refusing to vanish no matter the amount or type of light. On the other, they shy away a little in response, like they'd hide if they could but there's nowhere to go, so they resign themselves to staying put.

"Alright, looks like we're headed west again," Wukong said, fully in cheerful monkey mode. He walked over, placing a hand on the door handle hand turning it. "I'm starting to think we're being pigeonholed because our names start with W though. What do you think, Macaquepie? You too, Wash."

Macaquepie will glance at the room and chirp softly. He's worried about that one, but not enough to stop you. He'll just continue perching on Wukong's head and loving everyone and everything, as you do.

Whatever was left of the door crumbles when you touch it. The doors here are all pretty well destroyed.

Cheerful monkey mode is definitely not at all worrying. He is NOTING it.

"There is some layers to the assignment," he said with a chuckle. "Our own Journey to the West.

He looks to the Macpie. "We should probably be careful though," he said before going into the room.

Don't make notes on him. Wukong was just choosing to be himself, the way he likes to be. Nothing THAT weird about it. Anyone should want to be the self they like best.

"Some of us need to be more careful than others," he said, stroking the magpie on his head. "Like not going first while talking about being careful." But he follows Wash in.

Level U - North Door

You walk into a treasure trove. The room is huge, made of ancient-looking stone walls with large, majestic pillars lining the central hall. There is a huge pile of golden items in the middle of the room, shiny and jewel-encrusted and so very tempting.

No blue cracks in here whatsoever.

There is one object that draws your attention. It’s near the very top of the gold pile, and it’s glinting at you as if it’s winking. Wait… is that one thing, or two?

Also at the top of the pile is a sleeping, inky-black Chinese dragon. That’s probably fine…

The dragon doesn't seem to have noticed you yet, thanks to Donnie's interventions.

However, those golden items at the top of the pile feel important. Two in particular. Most of the gold and treasure is just a hoard or a pile a la Sun Wukong but that item(s) you need to check out.

Those are the ones closest to the dragon, of course.

[ After everyone's fights with the bloody blockage are cleared, and Korone's done what she can to help anyone who needs it, she heads back to treasure trove.

This time, she knocks gently on the door before poking her head in. ]

Dracaque? Are you awake?
